As AI-powered search features and answer engines continue to grow, traffic from generative sources is shifting from niche to mainstream. Industry research shows that organisations increasing their presence in AI-generated summaries and conversational results are gaining early visibility advantages.

For brands relying on organic traffic whether agencies, e-commerce, local businesses or entertainment labels the strategy now has to extend beyond traditional Google SERPs into “AI visibility”. This means creating content structured for relevance, machine readability and entity recognition, not just keywords and backlinks.

So what is your POV ?

Totally agree with this — AI visibility is definitely the next evolution of SEO.

We’re already seeing that traditional SERP strategies don’t fully capture the new traffic coming from AI answer engines, summaries, and chat interfaces. The focus now is shifting toward content that’s structured, contextual, and semantically rich, rather than just keyword-optimized.

I think brands that start aligning their content for entity-level understanding (how AI models connect concepts) will have a serious edge by 2025–26.
It’s less about ranking in one search result — and more about being recognized as a reliable source that AI systems reference automatically.

It is definitely the new trend.

The general consensus before AI overview was live was that it will just ruin organic search and traffic it brings itself will be minimal.

But as it turns out they can actually bring significant traffic.

Brilliant insight, The whole dynamic of visibility is shifting from ranking positions to AI recognition. When large language models and AI overviews pull data, they are not just scanning keywords they are connecting entities, authority, and trust.

I've always said it that SEO can not die as long as people exist, think, do new things, and learn new things.

From last year till now, I've not seen any negative impacts of AI overview on my traffic, though I visit blogs less than before.

Search engines like duckduckgo, and bring are now doing better.
