Had a look at this paper and this question puzzled me.

. lol - :D ...

i can't help, i am so suck in that case.

You can have a look at this: http://easycalculation.com/chemistry/chemistry.php

Or you could also try posting the question at Yahoo Answers, there a lot of scientific geeks there.

Answer is 1 .
If you clearly observe the question: He asks for a di-acid. So essentially, there must be two "-COOH" groups in the product. That narrows down the answer from various chemical compounds used in the reaction.
If you check the by-product the COOH's are present in the meta position of the Benzene ring.

So the answer would be A) IsoPhthalic acid.

Good luck mate :)

Im only 14 so its a bit high level for me but if i uderstood correctly it should be 2CH2

Did you already try the black hat way?

I.e. mailing http://www.thaipolyester.com/ and asking them whether their by-products are safe for environment? Then slowly proceeding to structure of diacid monomers, and finally becoming an affiliate? :-)
