dual boot with linux. use macchanger to spoof your mac address, as this can also be used to determine your location etc.
I like to use a VPS with lubuntu desktop on it to surf the web. Theres really not much need for tor or any slow kind of anonymizer like that when using a remote desktop. If the govt wanted to spy on you they could obtain that directly from your ISP and theres not much you can do about that.
If you really want to try to be anonymous, write a live USB install of a linux desktop to a USB, boot from it on a public computer like at a library, spoof your mac and use tor or something like that.
