Who's tried a 150+ linkwheel ?

Like i said in one of my threads, i am now thinking of atleast reaching the first page for the keyword phrase "Lose weight now" and several other sub niches. For one of the sub niches, i need about 600 links, but i believe that 150 high pr articles, interlinked to each other should do the work. So i just want to ask someone if they ever tried a 150 link wheel, interlinked to about 4 other spokes. Did you get sandboxed? got banned ? etc. please share your knowledge.

I never tried a 150+ linkwheel - to much work Will start working @40 page linkwheel

But one thing:

You can start it - but dont make it too quick, make it in atleast 10 days - better 15 to let it look natural!

btw.

Many people say that building a linkwheel is not good because your domain gets sandboxed - screw them! They usally use duplicate content etc.

You should use unique content and emails (if possible) and all should be fine!

This is insanity and has to stop. I don't know who came up with the idea of the 150 spoke linkwheel but to me it's plainly ridiculous, and probably a ploy by content writers and linkwheel services to get their hands on more of your cash. Seriously, 150 is an unnecessarily high number of properties for a single hub. The chances of you going to all that monumental effort and something going wrong are quite high. Google has caught on to linkwheels and unless you design a link structure which looks amazingly natural, they will most likely be ineffective.

Also, who searches for "lose weight now"? It's just not something I would type into Google if I was overweight. I'd type in "how to lose weight" or "lose weight fast".

There solid I have done about 5 250 spoke link wheels and have had a great experience thus far.

about a year ago when I built my first link wheels I did a 30 spoke link wheel posted the articles and nothing happened for 3 months and then popped right up spot 3 for a highly competitive keyword...

IMO it works but just takes time...

Well to be honest I have been mixing in a lot of different seo services to try them out, but my experience with link wheels has got me to number 1 for all my keywords.

Those that aren't are surely on there way.

I agree with michallef, that creating a link wheel of 150 spokes could be a risky investment of time/money/energy. But the other way for ranking high for a competitive keyword involves even more work.

Just want to ask that if you were to compete with a term that has about 25000000 websites, what would be your strategy.

Your keywords and easily led! you do not need 150 web2. I suggest you do a mixture of web2, profiles, and to cap off a few articles to directories of press!
