Hi all, I was recently procuring techno gadgets from china for online sale.

the culture over there is, sellers aren't looking so much for
long term business. We purchased our products and promptly returned
to the hotel to checked for issues.

50% of the products bought weren't working. luckily, we managed
to get them all changed with the retailer.

Lost of money being made over there, one stall was counting over $20,000 USD for clothes sold.

Depends on where you buy them from.

Some places have poor quality control. Its good to buy from trusted sources not some backstreet sweatshop.

It is a kind of art to trade in china.

It is all about your demand and what kind of trade company you chosen.

You can get high quality goods from those reliable and experienced companied which will cost you more;

You also can lost much from those small and newer companies which only want to make one deal.

But many westen people to buy something from china , I think the most important fact is cheap(except the special local products). So the third option, you can get many cheap stuff which you can not count on using long time.

Many things maybe just an optional choice. For examle, a spare parts of some machines, you may spend thousands from your national company and keep it working in 3 years; you also can get it from china in just hundreds but only for one year.

So, to buy some stuffs in china, it is all depend on your demand and budget. But there is still a basic rule to follow. Don't buy any very low price.

Well said, my dear friend!

We have been trying hard to break the common stereotype of Chinese businesses:

1) Terrible "Chinglish". Barely comprehensible...

2) Only interested in one time deals

3) Zero customer service

4) Cunning as hell....

5) etc...

We hope to bring a new wave of Chinese Wholesale services here in BHW.

Wish us luck!

It is very true that most Chinese suppliers are only interested in short term business. They will tell you they want to do business with you long term but as soon as you become a repeat customer they will start to send you very poor quality products and you will get extremely poor customer service.

It is probably best to not stick to one supplier. If they think you need them you are screwed. lol

Everything said here is true. BUT, there are respectable sellers in China that offer good customer support and do speak english as well.
I am in importing and selling goods from China for over three years now. When I first started the company I paid someone in customs to tell me who were the suppliers for the other companies on Romanian market that were selling the same goods. Got in touch with them all and chose the one with best customer support and good prices.
Over the years I tried at least 3 more suppliers from china that promised better prices, but I ended up working with the first and just one more - the quality of the others was rubbish. I'm talking about phone spare parts - the quality is really important if you want happy customers. And both of the suppliers work in dropshiping, if anyone is interested in these products
