    Fake private = whois protection with fake whois info underneath.

    If you're going to use fake whois info, make it look as real as possible (real street address that exists on a map, phone number in the right area code etc) - possibly get the data from the white pages or similar. Also make sure that the email address works so you can handle complaints.
