Hello guys,

I have many websites for my clients (legit websites) with my registrar info (my name). Is it possible if G see that one of my websites is buying links for example (or something else that not with their guidelines), so can G reduce rankings for all of my websites because of this, because he sees my name and all websites that i own? Or half of my websites are using to buy links, can he punish all of my websites of just those who not with their guidelines?

Is there is a difference in rankings with open whois information of the domain name or private whois info. Anyone tested it?

thanks.

anything is possible. big g is an icann registrar. its likely he already has full access to whois anyway.

Please tell me HOW.

Its not important if G is Registrar or not, he only see the official database and, in my opinion, ONLY the provider (like NS, GD etc) have the real information about
the owner and NOT any other Icann registrar.

In my opinion its only a myth, that anyone (icann registrars) can see behind the whois protection (outside the registrar, that administered the Domain)

@Topic
G is overrated in some cases and i don't think that a whois protection makes a difference (but only G knows it).

Why I asked it...

I have two different registrar accounts ((one under my name (John Smith for example) and other under my company name)). Most of the websites i own (my clients) are dropped in rankings after the penguin update and they was under my private name (John Smith for example), but the websites under my company name barely dropped i rankings.

So i thinking.... why is that... maybe G saw that many of my websites under my name are using too much anchor text in linking and he reduced rankings to all of my websites under this name, but the websites under my company name barely dropped i rankings.

Maybe it is better to registrar under whois privacy, so G can't punish > million websites what registrar this way and he doesn't know who is the owner of the website or who knows how G will treat websites under whois privacy in the future?

what do you think about it?

The Whois does not affect your rankings but using the same analytics account is a solid foot print, beware of that!

I've had sites rise and fall, none have ever risen or fallen together, however, and I use the same info for most of my websites.
