Does anyone think that having a public WHOIS on your domain which matches your contact info is a ranking factor?
From my point of view it would make sense as it provides trust.

Actually, it is. There's a Google patent on that - wether or not it's weighted highly is not a question. The effect is very small to almost negligible.it isn't, anybody can change their info to be Bill Gates, plus the actual info is never verified so 0 trust from google

Yes, Right, You Shouldn't Really Care About it.It could be one of the ranking factors,
but it's not something that actually would make any kind of difference even for long-tail keywords,
just a super tiny part of the picture that you shouldn't really care about
