A company can only be bought by Amazon if they want to be bought by Amazon.
Everyone has a number.
There are other ways to acquire a business without doing a deal.
Amazon no doubts has a war chest set up for either running you out of business, buying up shares and then ownership, devalue your company... there are 100s of ways they could acquire or ruin you directly or indirectly.
As I said they are too big to take on directly. You have to be in another space totally to have a matching bank balance to go in head to head. They are too big now (for this moment in time) to fail / lose.
The downfall for Amazon, Google and other companies out there is going to be innovation and Id be surprised if this happens in my life time - although with Google it seems to happen every 6 months or so, just look at how many products or services they have tried to launch without any kind of real understand or investment and then have them tank.
THATS going to be the bigger threat to any of them.
While there are slow movements in anti-privacy and need to push some of these companies to reform the main stream public does not care, want to know or even understand what rights they are giving up until there is a global "wake up" that is no threat either.
It's only a political / government threat at the moment because the gov wants accesss to that information, as soon as they are granted it privacy rights will go quiet for a while again..
