So, im looking into starting with ebay with my niche...that I wont mention just incase since there's a good demand and minimal sellers lol. So what im thinking is im going to start on Ebay and if I do well then and only then will I create my own site for it and advertise all over to get more traffic, so my question is who has done this and how successful are you doing at it? Because I know creating a site can be pretty expensive since I don't know how to code so id have to pay someone else to do so.

Creating a website and selling through it will be much cheaper than selling on eBay as eBay charges a lot of fees....

I wouldn't sell on ebay then move to a website. I would start a website then use ebay to get traffic. Put the focus on a website, rather than on ebay.

Start on ebay, as its the quickest and easiest way to get traffic and money. Then, very quickly, get your own site setup, and include marketing for the site in all your sold items on ebay. Your job is to use ebay to drive traffic to your site.

I used to sell hundreds of items on amazon and ebay, and would include extensive marketing for my website. The reality was that 2-3 out of 100 buyers would ever visit my site. Probably 2-3 every 500 visitors would buy.

However don't let that put you off. Your niche will be different, its just that so many more people will find your item on ebay, and amazon.

Yea, that's what I was thinking cause if I just started on a site I would get no customers, atleast with ebay I know 100s of thousands of people visit that site daily.
