Seems people get bent out of shape about thread ratings (or maybe it's just me). My suggestion is that we either get rid of them, or have the ability to see who has rated a thread and what they've rated it. This would initially deter competitors from rating other sales threads one star. We would also be able to see who just regularly hates on threads and rates one star (I know I've fallen victim to this at times).

Not that anyone uses the rating systems as a guage of a thread's integrity, but if we're going to ditch the reputation system why not this as well? What do you think?

TBH I have never paid attention to it. Now I am concerned and paranoid that my threads have been zero rated. Need to check ...

I think all metrics should be removed. They are a distraction.
I know a good thread when I see it, just as I can see who knows what they are talking about.
The people getting swayed and bullshitted to are the noobs and the naive.

In all honesty I only rate threads if they have really amazing post content and were super helpful, of course I only give out 5 star ratings.

Ratings being public would be awesome. Also if somehow we all gather and start giving realistic rates to multiple threads, so you know whether or not the content is worth it. And, if it's public, it will be harder to be abused.

I think the feature should just be removed, half the time I see service threads rated 5 stars but their service (in my opinion) is complete crap.

I don't think I've ever rated a thread on here I've just always thanked the OP if it was useful..

i had some rate the death of my dog
1 star, probably some noobs or vips that dont like me
funny thought i didnt loose a wink of sleep over it

Sorry but I was the one who did that... j/k

Anyway, this system is more than being just abused. You can see "Hey, how to get more likes on my fanpages" in the social networking section rated excellent while excellent threads are not rated at all. Perhaps a system where the OP cant rate his own thread?

They would still abuse other threads but hey its a start.

I think making these metrics 'open-source' - if everyone can see who does what, people would be called upon it. IF a person rates your thread with one start - you can ask why, or call the user upon it.

i follow the ratings when im buying services, they help out a ton.

Aaaand some wise guy just rated this thread an average. Talk about irony...!

Ususal Thread rating hardly matters to most of the members here but if someone gives a poor rating to sales thread it does affect a lot.I think its better that it should be removed from marketplace at least or if someone wants to rate let others see on what basis he rated the thread.

The best is to have ability to see who has rated a thread.
