Before I proceed, let me take a step back to tell you a little background story...

.

As a freelancer, I strive on continuously improving my skills. That being said, I make sure that I still find time learning new things and mastering what I already know. So I enrolled in this cool online academy to learn the in and out of Social Media Marketing and other things surrounding it...

.

I already have the experience on this industry but there are questions left unanswered for me to be able to reach my full potential as a Social Media Manager and Marketer...

.

So one of the first things that I've learned and I want to share with you is that the first step that you should know when you are marketing your product or your service is to understand who your buyer is...

.

And once you've clearly identified who your buyer is, that's the time that you will start targeting...

.

Now, let's go back to the question...Who is your buyer?...Do you have a clear vision of who your buyer is?
.

Now that you've got an idea about WHO your target or buyer is... The next question is... HOW?

.

How do you find these people? How do you convert them into leads? Ultimately, how can you convert them into client?

.

If you have xx number of followers, does it actually convert into clients?

.

The answer is NO...Your followers are not equal to clients BUT they CAN be your client.

.

There are numerous ways on how you can do it and I can share with you one of the most effective ways to do it.
.

One of the common mistakes that some businesses does when marketing is that they are targeting the wrong people.⠀

.

That's why it is extremely important that you understand your "buyer's persona".

.

And what's great about Digital or Social Media Marketing is that you already know where to adjust faster than the traditional marketing. ⠀

.

Which is also the very reason why Insights are absolutely important. The good news is... It's absolutely free to use in whichever platform you choose to focus your marketing efforts.

.

We may have spent a lot of time, effort, and money on advertising and yet we're not getting results. The question is...Are you targeting the right person?
.

It is extremely important that you know your customer's persona. It helps you understand who needs your product or services. It also helps you to know what problems you can solve for them. It helps you narrow your audience and target the right people. ⠀

.

Some of the questions that you should start asking yourself are...Where do they live? What gender? How young are your audience? ⠀

.

There's a lot more that you can ask yourself but what's most important is to understand who your customer is.

You're basically asking... WHO IS MY TARGET AUDIENCE?

The answer?

- TARGET 1: The people who click on the ads on my site (adsense clickers)
- TARGET 2: The people Target 1 thinks are legit aka INFLUENCERS
- TARGET 3: People who may not be TARGET 1 and TARGET 2 group members but who SHARE my passion and support what I'm doing

The key is to find these target groups, engage them, give them SOMETHING FIRST so they would do something in return
