Check this channel out they have family guy episodes and then in between them they throw segments with their own music.

Anyone have any experience with this? whats the earning potential?

I wonder how he monetizes his traffic.

By claiming his music.

You need to register your music with an agency. The agency then claims your music. They pay the royalties to you after taking a cut.

You don't need to monetize the channel. Just take payments from your agency.

Wow this is smart, this just gave me a great idea.

Thanks for this info:

Which agency?

There are many. Some charge a monthly fee, others are free and take a cut of royalties (70-80%).

I remember a chart of pros and cons of different agencies.

This guy gives some options in the description but it's not the comparison I'm thinking of.

The agency pay better than adsense?

It's apparently a trick to keep the video from getting auto flagged. I came across two videos the other day where the person is playing a music over a sports game.

Last week someone found the same thing you did and was asking the same thing on here.

Very clever - basically they're laundering views/traffic on pirated content to earn money by using Youtube.

Problem is that in order to make any serious money, you need hundreds of thousands to make $1k+ in royalties. Still a really genius way of laundering traffic.

Can't he just monetize it with adsense considering it will take time to make the royalties work for him?

i have some questions:
1) does he add music details in description by his own or youtube does it?
2) how he know the exact place to interval
3) how he know where to zoom in the screen for some seconds
4) does he upload the music on youtube then add it to his video

but how to find small agency may be, that have new music they want to promote, can work out a better deal than just royalties

is not that the issue, but the fact that your demonized content earn money...

if you check the history of videos uploaded to the channel, its only been for the 1 month.

and majority of the people commenting in the highest viewed videos are asking "Why did youtube show me this clip in the recommendations?"
How does this channel get his new videos recommended to so many people on their youtube home page?
