People have said that they rank for long tail keywords with the plugin easily and gives them a big boost in SERPS. Other people have said it is a footprint and will get your blog deindexed/sandboxed.

Are you guys using the plugin? Any experience with it?

yes i using it... but if you don't check "link to search"
its okay,,, don't worry about sandbox.. :D

I alaways use this plugin..Link to post..

Do not too much keyword per post..

This is a great plugin. I use it all the time and it does help me to rank for some long tail keywords that I probably won't otherwise.

I use it had about 80% of my site de indexed not sure if it the pluging or just because they are autoblogs

I was using this.I marked yes for "link to search" firs time. After 3 weeks i saw my backlinks were downing rapidly. Then i unmarked that and now no problem.working well

Luckily I never turned on the link to search feature, never really knew what it did, so I left it set to no. It would suck big time to have my two biggest earners get booted by Big G because of something as simple as a setting in a plugin...

I use it and have recently taken a hit on a number of my sites.

Have since deactivated it.

I'm using it and just recently deactivated the link to search option from the sidebar widget, the organic traffic is still growing.

So the plugin is safe, just untick the "Link To Searches" feature?

i also use this plugin and i still tick link to search for several week and now turn it off and see what will happen...

I had to open this thread up right away,

I saw this on another thread and got scared so I turned it off, and saw my numbers drop drastically. Then I read that the people having problems were using autoblogs. So I chanced it with my biggest site and turned it back on, since it's unique content.

I just checked and I have the "link to search" option turned off. So and I've never had a problem.

It appears that it the plugin is safe if "link to Search" is turned off.

What we don't know is if autoblogs are safe using this plug in, no matter what. If someone could answer that, it would help a lot of people.

We need to know if anyone using an autoblog, without

Any other comments guys? I am still very nervous about using the plugin on some big sites of mine.

I use it on my autoblogs, my biggest one will bust 100,000 UVs this month and I use Search Terms Tagging 2 and have since I started the blog about 4 months ago. So, take that info for what its worth.

Be careful with this plugin, it can get you a lot of visitors but in the same time you might get slapped by google. Here is a guide to remove the footprint, link.

Also keep in mind that you will get a lot of traffic but the traffic won't be targeted.. so you won't make a lot of money out of it. In my case I actually lost income because I was not ranking anymore for the keywords I was targeting... even though I had 10k visits a day with stt2 I had very low conversions and leads.

It can make cash with adsense though. Do you think it is safe with adsense?

If you can make it look as if the landing page has some content related to the search term then you should be safe, also adsense should show related ads.

Some time ago I was thinking about hiring a freelancer who would create a plugin for me that would grab and generate a post based on the incoming search term.. but never did.

Also remember to adjust your robots.txt
One of my sites had 180k indexed pages created by incoming search terms thanks to this plugin.. was just a matter of time until I got slapped.

I have modified the robots.txt but I also made sure that within the all in one seo plugin the noindex for tag archives box is checked. Do you think that this is sufficient? also what did you have the max number of search terms set at and what would you consider to be a safe amount. I had it set for 100 but I got spooked that I would be slapped and decreased that amount significantly. Now traffic is down and so is revenue :(

Should be enough with a good optimized robots.txt
At first I had it at 100, then 15 and now 9. I've made is that it looks like they are blending with the tags after the post.

Most important is that you remove the footprint.
