Who Is The Best Rapper ?

as icysfx said - all guys from Wu-Tang

+

redman
busta rhymes
lil whyte (not wayne)
ONYX
...

Ice Cube/the game? lmao. No offense but that's a crazy ass list lol.

Immortal Tech, honestly. Pac, Nas(if he only made Illmatic), Mobb Deep(If they only did the infamous).

Eminem is hilariously bad nowadays. More of a pop singer than an MC. That voice he does on every song is so grating.

Jay-Z just has a damn good marketing team, decent but made out to be a rap god for some reason

Jay-Z is in a secret society which is causing his huge rise to fame. He sold his soul to the "devil" for money. Nothing wrong with that, it's all on him :D

Anyways I don't like any rappers you've listed OP. They're all mainstream garbage talking about nothing important.

Here's someone that raps about real shit, truly not afraid of death, not in it for the money, true gangster.

Much respect to LowKey

I heard he was a mason the other day, looked it up and found nothing even close to conclusive evidence. why do you say that?

i don't care to get enough into it on an internet forum, believe what you want. it makes absolutely no difference to me, he's still going to have millions of brainwashed fans even if i were to convince you.

edit: this video of his speaks for itself

WOW! Too many to name.

When you talk about the best, I think that's a question of taste. However, Tupac, KRS One, Chuck D, Dre, Cube, Busta Rhymes, NAS, Biggie, Jay Z, Wu Tang, Eminem, and like him or not, 50 Cent.

Like 50 Cent said, "How many rappers do you know that have a drink named after them?"

I know I left a lot of people out, but in the end, I don't think there is ONE best rapper. I think there are a lot of good rappers, and it just depends on your mood, your style and where you're from.

I'll take most of the old school rappers over the new ones any day, though.

Peace

Dmx ...

Jay Z is not in a secret society, he just wants more attention and act mysterious, that's lame.

B.i.g period (ni**as bleed)listen to that song and argue with me
and he had more like it " i am all about content like cl"

Technically JZ is the best rapper ever.
Everything he does is memorised, he never writes a thing down.
But you got to hold it for the pathfinders.

I'm so glad that barely anyone here mentioned Lil Wayne. He's the most over rated artist right now and when I saw the title of this thread, I figured 90% of the replies would say he's the best.

It's good to know there's some people that still know real music when they hear it.

Anyway, I don't think you can put any 1 person at the top and claim they are "the best ever". Music all comes down to opinion, and on different days I feel like listening to different people.

With that being said, Em's older shit goes hard as fuck and he is one of my all-time favorites. You can tell back then he really had somethin to get off his chest and his lyrics reflected that. He doesn't just rap about the same old shit like everyone else does (money, guns, hoes, cars...the usual).

The dude grinded hard to get where he is now and I think his lyrics back then were inspiring as hell. I think his modern shit is awful though except for maybe 1-2 songs. He's gotta stop with that stupid ass accent that he uses on EVERY song and quit bein a pop rapper and go back to what made him successful in the first place.

I'm surprised nobody here mentioned Talib Kweli or Canibus yet. Those are 2 serious underground artists.

Every rapper has his pros and cons. Some have more pros than cons, some have more cons than pros. I don't think you can judge who the "BEST" rapper is. It depends on the style of hip-hop you choose, and what makes you feel how you wanna feel.

Tupac was highly famed for being lyrical and having a strong voice that would even motivate a deaf man. You didn't have to go thru the hardships of living in the ghetto or being a thug, Pac would make you feel like one.

Biggie was a brilliant lyricist.

Lil Wayne just brought out that "different" swag to the game and made you wonder what he was going to say next, more easy for the general listeners to understand and get motivated. Although, he does have some pretty good older mixtapes (Wayne and Juelz: Can't feel My Face)

These are NOT my BEST rappers, but only a few of who I like to listen to. Lately I've been listening to more Bay Area rap:

My Favorite song to thizz to:

Haven't really noticed it, lol.
