As a virgin section, who is into site flipping on BHW? Long term sites for high profit, build and sell short term, buy and increase and sell?

Lets see whats up with this new section

I am, although I don't actually do it full time yet. I prefer the long term approach. I usually work on a couple of sites in my spare time for a few months and then sell them.
 
I'm interested in learning more about it. Never really got into it though. This section was made due to a request of another member. So I'm really grateful things went trhgouh.
 
Hey their i actually flipped three of my gaming sites and both xbox elite and ps3(One for 345$ remaining two for 160$ each)
Now developing another site to be flipped.For traffic i use the service here.You know PTC traffic :)

I tried to flip an autoblog no use.
 
Sounds like an awesome idea. I never heard about this method. Where is the site market ? :D
 
Hey guys, as I requested the section I think it's only fair I write a little introduction to site flipping - so watch this space :)
 
I started site flipping about 2 years ago - back when Sitepoint was the to be :)

Cant wait to see what comes out of this section -I'll try to post some goodies when I get the time!!
 
I haven't been flipping sites as a money making method but rather for getting at least some money back on some old domains that have made their work for me and no longer was needed. One can make some money but for sure a lot more if adding any products (templates, ebooks, services etc) or just an autoblog and also if doing some minor SEO to get them up in the SERPs for some long tail keywords.

It shouldn't be hard to make some money from flipping but I am not sure it will out rank other money making methods when it comes to making money?? But can most likely get good extra contribution to ones monthly incomes from this.

I wouldn't put down too much work on this but maybe worth making one to two simplier sites per months for flipping if not else to see how it works and if one see that this can turn into someting worth making to ones main business, outsource it to someone who can make info products for ones flipping sites and increase the amount of sites per month.

Well I will be trying this now..I have heard that there is a good money in sit flipping and now looking to try it.

I flip websites as for a living. I average around 12k a month in sales using several different channels of sales. Flippa is great, on the other hand, I roll with established sites, spurce them up and resell. I own several sites with at least 10k visitors a month, all of which I had purchased and resold.

Personally, flipping websites is not easy, and if you are good, expect to make some damn good money. However, expect to get screwed several times, and always use escrow for your transactions. Make sure you understand the basics of selling, and what attracts the buyer, and what doesn't... Good luck to all!
