PMs are going down and gold is really tanking. Good time to buy, rule of thumb is to buy when everybody shits and hates on it (now), and sell when everybody is Empower Network-level cultish over it, which it was in 2011.

Make sure you dollar cost average each month whatever the price is. I don't think we've seen the bottom yet though. Don't ask my predictions though, you've got to get your own radar for this.

The US has a lot of local coin stores you can buy from, Brits are better off buying online.

Just trying to help, any questions let me know.

Guess no one wants to know lol. Mods can you move this to the Make Money forum, I think this might be better over there. Thanks.

just by the title, at first i thought you're offering some kind of pm spamming service lol and it took me some time until i figured out that you're referring to precious metals, maybe next time try to write a better thread title if you expect answers :P

I dont get the point of this thread getting moved to the MMO section but yes it does belong to the lounge :)

Honestly if I had the cash to spare I would, I have friends stocking up while they can.

Ps: PM 40 Tokens, C2C 99 Tokens

Sounds fair enough, I've changed the title.

Or at least I thought it's changed, it's not showing up for some reason.

In my opinion, buying gold is a very good wealth strategy only if you're thinking very long term.

If you have enough money to put on 'freeze' it is a good idea...

Thanks jazzc. Yeah this is definitely a long term strategy, the first priority for it should be as a hedge against hyper-inflation. Silver has decent potential too because it's an industrial metal. Somewhat more volatile though.

Right now the gold-silver ratio (GSR) is such that buying silver would be a good time if you're just starting out. Right now the GSR is about 75:1, whereas about 45:1 is the rough even point. Silver is at $16 an ounce, it was $50 an once 3 years ago. Remember the rule, buy low sell high, and be patient.

If you're risk averse, consider gold instead of silver.

There's also platinum and palladium as good PMs.

But bottom line is DYODD, do your own due diligence.

I will consider buying as soon as gold breaks below $1000. But you never know how far can it drop.
Gold is not a good investment because when investing, you need to know both value and price. In this case you know only the price.

I've been interested in investing in gold and other pm for a while now, but I think I'll wait until I have enough to own one or a few cash for gold businesses as a side project. I've heard they can buy it from people for as low as 15% of the value per gram/k, and usually no higher than 30% of the value per gram/k.

Getting in the game is the main thing, even start by getting a silver round for $15, once you're in the game, you're in the game, and you can go from there.:)

I had no idea gold and silver values were dropping. That's pretty exciting. Can somebody tell me what the "authority" is for gold and silver prices? I want to keep an eye on the prices
