Usually at this hour of night (It's currently 1:21AM) I'd rather be programming or even working on IM instead of sleeping, it's mostly everything single night, although a few weeks ago I started sleeping early and waking up around 6 and getting much more done but even when my eyes are completely beat and my mind is also about to blow I'd rather be working/trying to rank or w/e then sleeping.

Most of you who end up at this problem, if anyone what decisions have you come by? A lot of users here are veterans, what decision did you make if this also happened to you?

If this is a stupid question to some of you, I'd simply ask for no abusive comments that won't bring anything good to either of us, "If you don't have anything smart to say, keep your mouth shut", I believe it's a perfectly good question that could help myself and maybe others..

same prob here sleep at 4 am and woke up at 8 am no idea what should I do

I don't like sleeping... just a time that I could be working. I worked like 20 hours straight with 4 hours of sleep and short meals in between just this weekend. No regrets lol.

I much prefer working at night than during the day - my brain is a lot clearer, a lot more creative and I'm a lot more focused. If I didn't have a day job to go to too, I'd probably be half nocturnal.

However, sleep is very important and whatever time you may "lose" sleeping will be more than made up with with how you are when you're awake. I went a year or two sleeping about 5 hours a night and although I got a lot of IM work done, everything else in my life suffered. It's not always 100% possible but you should make sleep your #1 priority. If you've got a load of work you need to finish by the morning and you know realistically you're not going to do it that night, go to sleep early and get up early the next day.

take care guys and try to sleep at least 7 hours per day. For the last 3 years I have slept an average of 4 hours / day because I wanted to make as much money as possible from IM. I am 35 years old now and starting to have some health issues because of this sleepless behavior.

Better to make less money but living a longer life. There is no point of making 6.000 or 5.000 /month if that is fucking your body on the long term when you can live with the half of that happier and healthier. :)

I'd rather be sleeping and making money than working all day/night long

Just decide your working hours. And once you are done with it. Don't look at the work again for any cause. And you should try to keep IM away from your personal life. Otherwise one day both will be sucked.

This sounds like a job for meth!

Yeah, seems like it's with a lot of people but if you don't sleep work will suffer so everything needs to be balanced out, and from definitely worth sleeping at least 7 hours for sure:/ I got 3 hours of sleep last night, dead tired right now.. about to head to bed, currently 8:35/.

I love sleeping, in fact I could spend a lifetime just sleeping and dreaming :).

[h=1]"Sleep is the interest we have to pay on the capital which is called in at death; and the higher the rate of interest and the more regularly it is paid, the further the date of redemption is postponed. "[/h]Personally I love my sleep, so much so I really have to curb my love of it sometimes to avoid falling into a depression. I often find I am far more productive late at night say, between 9pm and 3am, it then usually takes me an hour to wind down. I'll then (hopefully) fall into a deep sleep until around 8am where I usually wake up naturally for a couple of hours, check emails, have a small breakfast, a smoke and then I'll chill and sleep some more from around 9 till 11am where I'll wake, exercise, meditate, read and head to my office until around 5. Between 5 and 8/9pm, I find I'm really sluggish, often irritable and usually pretty useless to the world. I really want to straighten this routine out but to be honest, the early hours and late hours I absolutely love, I'm usually buzzing during these parts of the day, it's just this awful unproductive early/late afternoon phase I go through each day I need to fix. Not sure if anyone else feels the same?

its just about your limits. I know people that could sleep only 5 hours/night an be as healthy as mdfk. But you can't spend the rest of 19 hours just working. You will end up like a zombie. For me, it is better to focus on multiple things every day. Like i am working on my website, than have some fun, than focusing on other project and so on. I mean, the brain gotta get some rest, either if you sleep or not. That's why i love bots

You may want to try out polyphasic sleep. Some people claim that the sleep only 2 hours a day in total with multiple power numbs of 20 minutes and they are fully functional.

Sounds perfect for you.
