So I was at the shop the other day and noticed this Samsung Ultrabook, it was so nice that I wanted it badly. It's very light weight, thin, comfortable keyboard and touch pad and beautiful in design. Even more, it's got a much better resolution than a standard laptop. And it's almost half the cost of a macbook!

I kind of regret getting this heavy laptop a few months ago. :p But my cash budget doesn't currently allow me get this since I'm a student.

The only downside of a such thin device is that not many ports are incorporated so you are kind of limited there.

Who got a such thing of whatever brand? What do you think about it?

Daamn man I want the same ultrabook for me. I really like it and I think that it is one of the best in the market. In Bulgaria is about 2300 leva which is around 1533 USD. Hope soon to take one for me. What is the price in US?

    Cheers

Get the macbook air 13 inch. Perfect for IM. I did the same and didn't go for ultrabook because you won't need that much power surely for you work unless you are into heavy video editing

Only if you're after Apple's operating system. Otherwise why would you choose something with lower performance for almost the same cost?

Got a Acer ultrabook, It's very good for Traveling and such, it is nice that it's so thin and light, it's easy to take it with you everywhere, and with a Solid state drive it's just perfect.

if you want a solid ultrabook look into Lenovo's business line (believe it's the X1) - premium, military grade build quality and pretty much built for business.
Lenovo's consumer lineup is pretty terrible though -- only stick to their ThinkPad line.
