I don't get it... I have heard all the hype about twitter, I see the marketing gurus drooling all over it and I see all the tools here for it...

BUT

Really - who gives a flying fig about what some inane people are tweeting all day long ?

I just cannot comprehend why anyone cares about this drivel?

Is it really your 690,000 fake posters tweeting to some other bots 317,000 other fake posters?

Is anyone really making money out of this or is it the emperors clothes all over again ?

Am I missing something?

It's called social networking and Web 2.0 marketing. You have to get with it and get into it. You have to get SOCIAL. It can be time consuming, but it does pay off.

Im not sure whether you mean twitter is BS or marketing on twitter is BS. I think your right, in that people just charge in, get a bunch of friends that dont give a rats ass what your saying, and you make no money.

But if you attack it at an angle where people arent already marketing. Your bound to make money. For example if you add friends based on keywords like "Money money online", "Make money on twitter" etc. Your bound to get other marketers and no one reading your tweets.

Really twitter is just one part of the social networking process. It is a great way to get them into your funnel and on to other social networking sites. The Perry Belcher videos that just got released do a decent job of explaining it. If
all you plan on doing is spamming twitter you look just like all the other spammers.
