I was wondering the same - why should people pay almost 250 bucks a year for a current list of SE-IPs to avoid getting flagged by the SEs and SEC only needs a couple of IPs - I think it is a fair guess to say that SEC is not really IP-based cloaking...

Back in 2005/ Early 2006 I used SEC extensively. And can only say good things about the product. Yes you need the static add-on and template add-on. But for about $150 I made my money back in about 1 week using the product. It was a matter of hours before Yahoo!, MSN, and Google would start picking up my sites. Peter (the developer) gave great support and would always answer any questions I have within 24 hours. If you need some help with it. Cloaking isnt that effective anymore

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned SSEC in this discussion. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, you get what you pay for. I've been using SSEC for about 2 months now, and I've had moderate success with it. It's got a higher outlay of cost (about $100-$150 a month- you need your own dedicated server or VPS), but you can get ranked pretty higher in the SERPs with minimal work. They bad side is, if you don't have a good template (which you can get free if you hunt, or pay people to make for you at $10-$20 a pop), your sites can get get banned pretty quickly. But I've been able to build about 20K pages, many of which are getting traffic without much outside promotion. SSEC does backlinking, and refferer spam on board, and build subpages to your pages automatically. It's a pretty good program as well for cloaking.
