Who else needs the ultimate link building strategy?

I ask this question on behalf of anyone who needs a linking strategy that works!

I have read a lot of threads on this forum about link building, browsed the 'services for sale' pages, and tried a number of different link building methods.

It can become quite daunting, reading up on all the different methods: angela & paul, blog commenting, directory listing, link wheels, pinging, web 2.0 properties...

So here is the scenario:

I found my niche, bought my domain, got the website up, got the content and SEO'd it. -Now I need to get SERPS! I did my research, and I know that the site can be high up on page 1.

Question is, How do I do it?

What is the time frame for a new site to hit page one?

What type of links do we need?

How many links per day?

No doubt it is a combination of various methods, I would like this thread to be a resource for people, explaining the way forward.

Anyone with knowledge, please help your fellow BHW members out.

first of all you have to choose less competition (medium) keyword.That is the first then per day you can build 20 to 25 backlinks don't use more that that.But keyword is very important one...If the keyword is good you can earn more money form that.It will take 30 to 40 days came front page in the google.

I'm at No.3, and I'm trying to overtake the first spot.

I would love a site like this.

all those methods work...if you actually do the work. stop reading BHW & just fuckn build some links

The best free backlinks are articles, forum posts, blog comment and profile links. Just stick to these and you should be able to rank up in less then 3 months.

I know they work, and I have done them all. I am not gonna try every single method, just because it works, I want a solid method to use to move my sites forward. using a combination of these methods

At the moment, once I've put my site online, I add it to webmaster tools, ping the site, then I get 100+ PR1- PR6 backlinks, with my keyword as the anchor text. I've found that it takes about 2 weeks to get to page 2.

I do the 100 backlinks in about 2- 3 days, and then have to wait for google to find them.

Thanks for the tips/info folks! My only question on building the back links is whether or not to use the same 'content' on more then one site...

I've heard mixed results from a lot of people..some say as long as the 'content' isn't duplicated on the same TLD, then you're fine. Others have said to at least make the content 30%-40% different. Seeing as I really do hate to write but can't afford to outsource as of yet, I'm still not sure which route to take.

For me it's not seeing the instant results. This is where i think a majority of us newbs don't follow through. We want to see instant results which is just not the case.

I think the best thing you can do is just keep building good quality links and see where your at in three months. I know easy to say, but I told myself this and just keep plugging along.

Great info Guys, I heard on some another forum that link building if not done write will not help. Also Google is very harsh on links .... that it does not like. If so what we should aviod while link building.

Your so much better off working on long tail keywords, as it improves your ranking for other keywords and just general ranking on the whole domain, as well as gets you ranked highly for other searches, which overlal brings in more traffic.

Exactly, and you can rank for them way faster than shorttail.

I definitely agree that it is an ongoing process, and quality backlinks will pay off in the end. I believe that the link buildiing efforts will properly come into effect about 3 months on (I might be wrong, this is just from my experience.)

I am not short sighted when it comes to my websites, I put in the effort, all unique, useful content, good site design, and I keep away from spamming. The links I build are reasonable quality.

I consider my websites 'white hat' in the sense that they comply with adsense T&C's and generally I don't take 'short cuts'

The amount of backlinks obviously depends on various factors, such as your chosen keywords, your competition etc. I have, with one of my sites targeted long tail keywords, and have received many visitors from keywords within the longtail phrase. so that theory defenately works!

I don't have the time to do backlinks myself, so I outsource all the link building. (I use some services from BHW)

nothing is quick and easy (nothing you want to work in the long term anyhow) but there has to be an 'ultimate strategy', a process from beginning to end that optimises the link building process...
