Who Else Is Shitting Themselves At BitCoin Prices?

I can't believe the price of these fuckers now. I bought in at $7, I just wish I had invested waaaaaay more!

ME neither. I feel so depressed for not dropping a 1000$ on them at least one month ago since I was about to.

130$/coin is way too high to invest right now.. this might be good time to invest to those who has a wad of cash to dive in...

I would invest in at least one or two coins I think its only going up from here. What if it really takes off in value you'll wish you invested now while you could.

Does anyone recommend to buy bitcoins now ? I know the price is high now but looks like it will increase way more in the coming days.

If you have some extra and want to have some fun, go for it. If it's your next months rent, keep it. Nobody can tell what bitcoin will do, maybe the bubble will crash or maybe it will reach $5,000. But if you look at past events it useally recovers pretty quick after a dip, which is kinda happing right now. Anyway I bought some more at $115, just to have some fun.

And the best thing is you can only lose 100% of your investment, while you can gain 200% ( what people who bought at $7 are experiencing now), 300%, 400% etc

Just like with all investment issues, 'non-professionals' should not give others advice. But for myself, I intend to buy or mine as many BTCs as possible while it's still in the three figures per coin (yup, I project it's going deep into the stratosphere). STOP THINKING IN MONTH TO MONTH TERMS, get it while you can, and hold at least 5 years. Save this thread as a snapshot of what people thought as of this date, and use as a plumbline to judge who was right as of 2018.

I am not an expert but I think if you invest now with a 1 year plan you are going to make money in the long run. There will be some drastic gains and drastic losses in between.

Value seems to go down because instawallet was hacked. Wonder if the market will do the same as when mtgox got hacked: big drop followed by bigger recovery. Anyway will try to buy on recovery. Already bought some bitcoins at €60 last week, just to have some fun with it, can afford to lose it.

Any reason you think bitcoins cant be a viable currency?

At the moment, the majority of BTC seems to be used to buy drugs off of the silk road - that is the most popular known application of it anyways. Although the silk road market is large, not large enough to cause the huge upswings you've seen in BTC lately.. this is all caused by speculators - *very* amateur speculators.

I won't pontificate on technical vs. fundamental market analysis or anything like that here. The TL;DR version is that when a market sector rises tremendously (as BTC has) it is due for an incredible fall, below the starting value of the currency mania. The currency will fall well below the $7 value it was at before all of the speculation nonsense started off.

It is the oldest story every told... "OH, MY TULIP BULBS ARE GOING TO MAKE ME RICH! YOU POOR BASTARDS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IN WHEN TULIP BULBS WERE ONLY <INSERT VALUE HERE>!

Me? I'm just going to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the show while this sucker implodes. Like a star going supernova, this thing is going to pop at least within the next few months.

I havent a clue about any of this but I have watched booms and bust occuring in real time several times. All I know is real investments tends to be made before the dogs in the street are talking about it. Im not talking about this forum which is populated by business people with their eye on money, Im talking about being on the front page of Yahoo etc.

Anyway fascinating stuff I am on Mt Gox now trying to educate myself. Seems like if you know your stuff you could set up a blog today and get some instant traffic ?

I've been watching them for a long while as well, it's hard to judge when a good time to buy is.

and what about litecoin investment?a week ago was 50 cent and now 4,66 usd...

This week is the first I've heard of Litecoin, but it may serve as an appropriate secondary peer-to-peer ecurrency (because Bitcoin was already "first to market" with the same set-up). Litecoin is scheduled to have a total of 84 million coins mined, four times more than Bitcoin, so it should stay cheaper longer compared to BTC. And I notice the same nay sayers who discounted Bitcoin 2-3 years ago are doubting this identically structured e-currency will work out as well. As with BTC, mine/buy some and hold, and let's see who's right in 5 years.

So big brokers such as Etoro are now going to accept bitcoin and even setup a trading instrument for it. There are rumours about bitcoin ATM machines going down in cyprus and LA. You can even pay for porn on reddit with bitcoins!

Maybe this bubble can turn into a real currency?

xashishx, nobody knows anything. Invest at your own risk, those guys that make hundreds of thousands per day/week on the stock market don't listen to anyone but themselves.
