Who else got a PR update?

This may be old news by now, but i just checked one of my sites..

It appears Google did a PR update this November.. and one of my new sites (only 3 months old) jumped from PR N/A to PR 4

so i was just thinking of Google's algo messed up this time? or did most of you see such a big jump?

LOL.. yeah i know... PR is useless.. but was just curious cause from N/A to 4 is a big jump.

Not always especially when you are into Pay Per Post kinda stuffs the PR counts.

No, I did not get a PR update for more than a year now, still on PR2 , you must have worked really well to achieve that PR, could you share some of your tactics /methodologies to achieve that, I am longing to achieve PR4 from current PR2.

i went from a pr 0 to a pr1 google must of messed up because i havent touched the site in months

PR is not irrelevant, for some reason google is hidding the PR, maybe a big change on algorithm will be made next year based on PR (and maybe this is the main reason of google hiding)

If you question about PR = Money, the short answer is NO, but is crucial to SEO.

The update was on 30th October.


But still, congrats on your PR leap! Jumping from N/A to 4 is really a success. I do hope I can too... =(
My site was about a month old but only leaped to PR2

Glad for you all Not!
I have a site 2 years old with pr3 and internal pr2 which I haven't touched until 8 weeks ago. Hmm so what has happened? Well after maybe 800 directory submissions and some social bookmarking where is my pr now? PR2 yes pr2 so my cheese is well and truly offed!
I admit not all the directory submissions will have registered yet but do you know what actually I am pretty happy Why? because for all of my keywords I am on the top 2 pages of the search engines and for at least one of those in the top4. All this from nowhere in 8 weeks.
Does show pr don't mean a lot eh

PR is NOT useless when advertising companies are interested in doing business with you based on your site's PR.

That being said, this update was all over the map for me. I had strong sites lose some PR and a few shitty sites get a bump up.
