Who else gets bored at writing for SEO?

I understand the value of writing for SEO. And I also understand that some topics may actually be enjoyable to write about.

But I can't fathom to think that writing about something I don't want to write about can be fun. There is some topics in SEO that are just hair tearing. This means that they are just topics I am not interested in.

As I writer, I ask myself if writing was supposed to be this boring. I enjoy writing about what I want to talk about. Not chasing SEO keywords just to make some money.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I do feel that way. Some topics can be a real pain in the ass to write about.

Content writing wasn't supposed to be that boring, but you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

If you're referring to writing content for clients, you can always specialize in a niche that interests you. The problem is that writing about something you love for clients can lead to burnout and to you hating that niche, which makes writing boring, which leads to you specializing in another niche, and so on. It's a vicious cycle, really.

I am not into writing (my English is dead) but I do a draft for all my content. Then I send it to the writers. While drafting I can feel how much boring niche or topic it will be. No clue how the writers are going through.

Sometimes yea it feels boring but then I remember what all things I can do with that money and I get excited again, you need to think of the bigger picture and long term gains

I must admit... I scrap tons from web archives and just rewrite a couple of paragraphs. For niches I love: adult , music, sports and unpopular opinions about everything? I might have about 200/220 posts to go, all hand written and with passion.

My "favorite" writing assignment still haunts me today... a hundred 150 word snippets on copper wire #4. Asshole client. Cheap rates. He thought Copyscape was a "patent tool". Put him in need of reputation management years before it was a thing before it was all over... but he got his content first... I feel ya.. its all a part of the work at hand.

Yeah, very well. It was one of the reasons why I proclaimed myself to stay back from offering freelance writeups. Content comprising my interests could be baked out decently yet that's not the case when a client asks me to write on something I'm not familiar with. Inflicts a shabby feeling when I've to say no to them.
