A while ago my website's traffic dropped to trash. This was before the recent Google updates. There could be any number of reasons, and this post isn't about why that would happen. At that same time, I saw emails like these from Ahrefs (screenshots: https://ibb.co/1sf5SNm | https://ibb.co/2SYdNBW -- two most recent ones).
I disavowed 700+ URLs.
But now, like clockwork, my articles keep getting added to random websites (often with the suffix "-k.html" in the URL) and getting removed from a bunch. My question is, does anyone have any insight on what is happening here?
Yes, low-DR backlinks are safely ignored by Google and potentially don't hurt my rankings. But I can't help thinking that all this mass removal and addition to what appear to be spam websites could be a factor that influences rankings, even if just 1%. Problem is, I cannot keep disavowing hundreds of URLs every week.
