DA has been worthless for a while as metric DR is becoming worthless a mixture of DR and to analyze the backlink profile would be your best option.
Out of the two option, I would go for DR. However, in 2026, I would like website with genuine keyword for ranking, genuin trafic, and no backlink spaming. DA or DR is only an indiator after all.

I’d lean more toward DR because it tends to give a clearer picture of overall backlink strength, especially when you’re comparing sites across different niches.

I tend to look at DR more than DA in 2026, but I never judge a website by those metrics alone. I also consider organic traffic, the quality and relevance of its backlinks, and whether the site is actively indexed and ranking. In the end, those factors give a much clearer picture than DA or DR alone.
I'd look beyond both.
If I had to choose, I'd lean toward DR, but neither DA nor DR is a Google ranking factor. Real organic traffic, topical relevance, and backlink quality matter much more than either metric.

DR is more trusted, since you see pretty big diferent quality of you compare between them.
