I'm sure there's hundreds of thousands of people making a living from blogs.. it's hard to pin-point one individual.
I can safely say that the massive blogging companies like Kotaku are thriving, especially since everybody is stuck inside - now is certainly the time to load up your website with some new content!

Because of the time they are just recommending bluehost, hostgator and in 99.99% cases they themselves do not use those recommended webhost.
