    Hi all,

I have a search engine that consists mostly of a landing page, Google-esque of course, and I was curious if anyone had any suggestions/thoughts about SEO and traffic-generation for SEs specifically.

It is a metasearch engine on a short domain name, mostly a PHP project for myself but I do have traffic and I'd like to build a little more.

My first idea, because it's my background and this is my first project in PHP, is adding a WordPress install at mydomain.com/blog for the easy SEO with active and relevant blog posts.

Beyond that, I'm making it extremely easy to like/share the page and submitting to relevant directories.

Thought someone else might have an interesting idea or experience running a portal site or search engine sometime in the past! I'm not trying to compete with Google. :)

Thanks in advance for ANY advice!
