Can someone give me an opinion about what would be a good whitehat SEO plan for a company website with 5 important keywords?

    URL :
    www.companyname.com

    Deepurls:
    www.companyname.com/keyword1/
    www.companyname.com/keyword2/
    www.companyname.com/keyword3/
    www.companyname.com/keyword4/
    www.companyname.com/keyword5/

    * Would you build links to the deepurls or the main url or both?
    * Are social bookmarking, profile backlinks, edu links & blog comments considered as whitehat seo? Would you build them directly to the website or not?
    * Is building a linkwheel around the website and build backlinks to the entities a better idea for whitehat seo?

1.both deep linking and home page is important.
2.its whitehat if you do it manually and post comments that are relevant. black/grey hat if you spam comments (throw shit at the wall and hope some of it sticks approach)
3.linkwheels(traditional) are dead. go for a pyramid formation.

Keep in mind, theres really no way we can help you if you dont reveal your keywords. your company could be selling insurance and i doubt anyone here can give you any advice that will help you rank for that. Goodluck!

    Home Page:
Use full URLs for everything in the source... make a directory for each included js,css, img group and use keywords in the directory names... make js, css, and image directories in each page directory and use more keywords in those URL paths. See my posts on spliffs for more ideas..

I'd call it gray hat... but google dislikes all SEO and it all has risk. If you wanted complete white hat you wouldn't be here! ;) If you wanted complete whitehat you shouldn't do any seo and should just focus on killer content and channel marketing. ;)

But I figure I'll give the gray hat answer since that is what most people are really after. :)

    Cheers,

    Ted

Most SEO is greyhat now anyway, the best thing you can do is try and create a social media buzz and get some good PPC advertising for things like facebook or twitter pages. Write a few professional editorials or do press releases.

But realistically if you want any of those to catch you have to get your hands a little dirty - you can't compete in Internet Marketing without competing against black hatters who as long as they keep on the legal side of their work will win every time.

    Regards,

Sure Can: If you don't have some huge competition on your niche you will be able to exchange links with other websites (only of course if you have several domains with good PR). 99% of the people don't really understant that good PR works only for domains which were left alone without adding any content for a long time, that is actually what pr is good for and there is also a misunderstanding of website content regarding to the links that are actually built (no relevance to the content). With the new changes in Caffeine and instant Pr is less relevant that backlinks i.e the more backlinks you have according to G00gle the more respected your website is and that directly affects you serp. Subdomains are not as important as your page titles and descriptions ( you can read the last g00gle Seo starter guide).
So basically you can build links to your homepage and it will be very fine too.
I would highly recommend to go grey hat, this is using mainly xrumer or SB to build your backlinks, not to go completely BH and infest databases with links and codes.
My friend grey is the only way to go and g00gle will index your links if you give your outsourcing the correct information on how to post your links with the right spinning and to make it look like real comments
have fun positioning your website - it[s not an easy job
