This is a question for people whos work revolves around more white hat activity's. As someone who isn't into the more darker activities do you usually refuse to work with someone whos in more of a gray/black area? If so why is it due to the fear of getting involved or is it a moral thing? If you do work with people in these fields do you not feel s though your risking whatever you have going by working with these people?

Just some curious question, I've always wondered about the other end of things

It depends. Black Hat can really be many different things, from simply circumventing insignificant rules to straight up criminal.

Honestly.

Im not sure what is black/white/gray hat anymore. Here's my views:

1) Google now allows sponsored guest posts / so is that now white hat when you have guest posts?

2) I think of Black Hat as people who just cut corners/bend rules all day. I'm not into that personally but I'm also not able to dictate what clients do, when working with them. Working here, you're bound to deal with it.

3) The internet is such a big diverse group of people; I think you're better off focusing on just doing your part right / legit and letting others sort things out in their path
