How do you perform White Hat SEO to a good and original youtube comedy video?
Here is what I did without much success:

1. Use the Youtube Keyword Tool to find the most searched keywords relevant to my video
2. Make an attention grabbing optimized Title, Description and Tags with these high searched keywords
3. Create a click-enticing thumbnail
4. Add CC text for the seach engines to crawl
5. Submit the video on Digg
6. Create a Blogger account and embed the video there
7. Post the video's url in the "Links" section a Google+ Profile
8. Share it on Facebook and Twitter
9. Post the vido in popular Facebook groups
10. Submit the video as a video response on a popular Vevo music video

I did all of these things and only gained about 20 views in a month.
The video is great, I know people will like it if they see it, so what else should I do?

Share your video on social signals to get more traffic. Get some backlinks to that video.

You can also get some backlinks to that video and use it.
Just be patient enough to wait. This is not a race my dear friend.

If you're really stuck on white hat, maybe a press release about the video. I would link it to the heavens, but that's just me.
