Hi everyone! I've just launched a website selling a wide variety of electronics and such. I am trying to build a long term business/brand. I do not have any decent traffic at the moment because I haven't done any link building, advertising and so on. Could you please advice me on strategies I should use to spread the word about the site and rank well in google?

Do Some Directory Submission with genuine content, Publish Press Release, Use link in high pr blogroll etc are some small works that should be started soonest.

I would if I were you use a variety of online and offline promotional methods. You can carefully place links on blogs, forums, and social sites where applicable. Be careful not to appear like a spammer though. You could also try placing info on free classified ads or hand out fliers in your neighborhood.

+1 for guest blogging. Also do relevant blog commenting, and posts on relevant forums (no spamming); video submission and doc sharing.

Do social media promotion on relivant places to get Human exposure + good for SEO as well and in SEO you need to take care of alot of things
