Getting traffic from Facebook is a lot easier than anything else, that too using white-hat method, Although it will cost you some little $$$, But in turn the returns are great.

For those who dont want to go in that deep.
1.create a facebook page on a public/relegious/regional thing(i.e cricket lover,GOd's follower, football fan etc...) make sure you comply with facebook's TOS
2.Advertise on facebook to get fans
3. Take the advantage of viral features of facebook.. If you have page named Football fans, Ask your page fans to Shout We love Rooney on your page's wall..
4.Enjoy more free fans...
