    Hi,

    I am a complete noob when it comes to offsite SEO and have little knowledge when it comes to on-page SEO.

    I was reading someones JV where that person mentions that white hat have the possibility to get you account banned on ad sense and I got very intrigued by that because I thought that white hat was the safe coin of the SEO.

    Could some one clear up for me why you would or can get banned from ad sense with white hat or when ?

    thanks

    Mate you will never get a straight answer some people will say adsense ban you when there on there period and some will say they have good cause, Either way always have a back up plan. And never put all your eggs in one basket.

    Yup definitely don't put all your eggs in one basket and rely solely on adsense. Have a backup plan.

    As for your question - I don't see why "white hat" would get you an adsense ban. White Hat SEO basically means to create amazing content on your site that gets linked to naturally. This has nothing to do really with the adsense TOS, it's your method for getting traffic to your website. Most people get banned from adsense for sending fake traffic, cloaking, clicking their own ads, etc.

    If you do have a completely white hat site, they would have no reason to ban you.

    Having said that - google is f'd and kinda do whatever they want without rhyme or reason sometimes.

    I had read the same JV as you and I believe the OP was just stating a possibility that even though all White Hat methods will be used, there is still a possibility that a person could get banned. How? Well let's say you have a great website built from scratch and based only on White Hat SEO. The first couple of months, you make 1K and I get jealous. If I want to mess with your "pure" site, I just send fake traffic and click on your ads several times in hopes to get you banned. Did white hat method have anything to do with the possibility of you getting banned? No. But due to my ignorance and spite, my BHT just poisoned all your hard work! See where it is now a possibility?

    Do not be mislead, white hat is the safest and Google compliant method of building back links, i doubt if 1% of website owners apply that. Well, it depends on what you mean, the whitehat most people talk about still involve some blackhat, if you really want to do whitehat, you don't have to push a finger to build back link because it's against Google TOS.

    It's probably more accurate to say what a BHW member thinks is whitehat and what Google thinks is whitehat might be a little bit different, maybe.

    Thanks everyone for the inputs.

    @nest9
    I understand that people out of their bad faith might try to get a website down if they sit fit for their benefit but I was referring myself to dangers within whitehat itself disregarding people of bad nature out of it.

    @john1444 that was/is my impression of it, I am not entirely sure weather my method is or not full white hat but I am doing everything manually for instance I would go to forums on my niche related that are worth the time and making a nice profile with signature, posting stuff linking to my site, using YouTube and making related videos to my site, Facebook and posting things on my wall of recent things I've launched or posted etc, using comments to promote my site in some cases, yahoo answer and similar sites but every thing manual not sure if this would still entitle to grey or ever goes into black.

    I made me wonder to what extent Google would ban some one, etc.

    @politico yes I don't have my stick on the same lady I tend to have some variety of it like blonde, brunettes, ops wrong subject I meant, like CPA, emails, content locker with other options. I am also currently testing a set of different things every week/month to see its performance but since I don't have much traffic yet I think I will just leave ad sense for now and get some cents from RPM once I start getting a more steady incoming I will start more test on it.

    Also my keywords just started ranking up and about 15 on top 100th and 5 on top 30 I hope by the end of the month I will have at least half on the top 10 perhaps top 5 or so I hope.
