What are the benefits of White Hat SEO over Black Hat SEO? Pretty new to the forum

So many technicalities...Although Whitehat is suppose to be more stable over the long term. But I just saw a thread where a
completely organic website was fisted by Matt Cutts for local SEO competition. I personally think sensibly grey hat works good
which is combining both methods.

White hat is the most stable of the two and in my opinion has more long term potential, but like unclemike said combining the two can be more effective, so definitely do your research.

I also agree, even though white hat is more stable of the two with long term results, it still doesn't guaranteeing anything, I suggest mixing both white hat and black hat seo and turn it into gray hat seo, which I find to be the most effective long term and short term solution.

Yea, I agree. The way google is nowadays, your site can be hit no matter what type of SEO you do. Gray Hat is always a good middle of the road choice. A lot of high quality, mixed with some automation - works nice

I wonder though, why legit white hat link building CRM like BuzzStream has a separate field for "Amount Paid" in the link tracking module?

There is no white hat SEO. There is no black hat SEO. There is SEO.

Google doesn't like it either way. Get used to it or exit the game.
