Which Wordpress theme for a photo gallery/photography portfolio?

Just check an Elementor Kit you like, something like this:

And then you will be able to edit it to your preferences with the Elementor toolkit (or leave it alone if you don't feel confident to do such, although I highly recommend you to learn a little bit about it, because it will give you freedom to add what you need to make it better or more according to your needs)

You can try Kamera WP theme. its too good for photography
