After all of the horror stories I've read here about Google Analytics I'm thinking of transferring all our sites to a new analytics app.

I've tried Piwik a few months back but their Javascript tracking wasn't working properly. I might try again but we're also looking into paid apps.

What are you using?

Some of the other options we're looking into:

I still use GA for all my WH sites.
Woopra for everything else.

What is the problem with GA if you use some BH techniques with your money site?

Never had any problem with GA or may be I am just lucky... Piwik sounds good and I am planning to put it on few sites...

I am using Getclicky,it is not on the level of Google analitics but does the job..

If you has one site it is okay,if you has a lot of sites google will use ga to track your sites..

@pirondi: Where does GetClicky fall short compared to GA?

Ok I did a search, and it seems as if the bounce rates concern a lot of folks.

I use scrapebox and forum spam mostly with a lot of links from duplicate articles, but I do so for my money sites. Spent some time in the sandbox, but I am still ranking number 1 for quite a few terms on some of my target keywords

My sites have a lot of content though and I have users adding more and more content every single day. So if your bounce rates are low, would GA actually help rankings in any way?

I think that for people with only a small number of sites, GA is the way to go because it is such a powerful too.

I am generally doubtful of the negative effects of GA on those with many many sites on the one account, but I think it would be naive to think google couldn't/woudlnt use data like that to protect their advertisers.

I have had a play with GetClicky, but it is not the polished package that GA is.

I'm also doubtful that G would use the service against its users but I'm not really willing to risk it ...

I use PIWIK its exteremly similar to Getclicky but many features of GA.

Plus its in house-hosted. Therefore you set up the script on your own website with the privacy! No one will ever know your traffic sour but yyou!

piwik .org

I guess its fine if your using the same adsense account on these sites.

I use PIWIK. Host on your own server. add as many accounts as you want.

My only concern is that it does leave a footprint that someone could use to find all your sites.

HTML:
piwik_subdomain.mydomain.com/piwik.php?idsite=

is there any way to remove this footprint?
