Which Way To Truthville?

Guy is walking down a long dirt road and comes to a fork in the road. One direction leads to a place called TRUTHVILLE where everyone ALWAYS tells the truth. The other way leads to a place called LIESVILLE where everyone ALWAYS tells a lie.

There are no signs and no way to tell which direction leads to which town. The only thing is standing there is a little girl who happens to be standing right in the middle of the fork in the road. There is no way to tell which town she comes from.

You can only ask the girl one question and one question only! What is the one question you can ask to be 100% certain she will give you the directions to TRUTHVILLE?

Watch her eyes and reaction ... and judge if she was lying or not.

Ask her a question about me:/

"Have you seen me in truthville before?"... if she says yes,... she is clearly lying if she says no, she is clearly telling the truth.
 
If "This sentence is false" is true, then the sentence is false, which would in turn mean that it is actually true, but this would mean that it is false, and so on ad infinitum.

Im getting out of here...Talk about a head do'er...lol

So far nobody has got the correct question to ask yet. Just a hint, it's not trick question or having to wait around and follow her like a stalker lol. It is just a simple question which when you hear the answer you will kick yourself for not thinking of it to begin with.
 
The right question to ask is :

"Which way is your town ?"

If the girl is a liar she'll point you to Truthville.
If she is telling the truth she'll point you to Truthville.

I ask her: "Please show me the road to my home town truthville, where you have seen me every day for the past 2 years."


Honest girl will say; I can not do that, I have never seen you before.

Lying girl will say: sure buddy its that way :).... (which means its the opposite way).


I dont know if this was the answer you had in mind, but like tupac said, there is more than 1 way to skin a cat, there is more than 1 way to shot a gat, there is more than 1 way to die.

I.e there can be multiple answers to a question.
