Which VPS Hosting Provider do You Use for SCRAPEBOX?

Just bought VPS for $35 from XSserver.EU... Seems good deal and very happly clients after checking through forum. I will be using this VP only for scrapebox and senuke. I also got dedicated but my main money sites are there and I don't want to risk them... Big bandwidth just getting lost lol 10,000 GB Bandwidth...

I am using website service plus tier 4 has been 2 months and only 1 day off.
 
Just want to ask if 1TB of bandwith is enough for 1 month with scrapebox??

i want to order and server with 8gb ram but it only has 1TB of bandwith / month..maybe its to little..i also want to run multiple sp on it
 
1TB is about 33GB per day. In my opinion, if you are doing a lot of scraping of google then you're not going to last with only 33GB per day. If you're using already made lists and just "posting" you'll get by, but yeah - if you're actually going to be munching any data to scrape some good blogs, 33GB goes very quick...
 
AWesome thread guys...thanks to everyone commenting...I'm just getting a VPS for SeNuke and Scrapebox..and after reading this im definitely going with xsserver..waiting for the set up now

At the guys that are currently running on xsserver, would you mind posting a speedtest.net test as done above...im REALLY curious to see how close you get to the actual 100 Mbps...

There are three things that drive VPS hosting performance ? hardware, number of virtual private servers on the hardware, and the resources each VPS gets. InMotion uses Dell 2950s with 16GB or 32GB of RAM, 2 high end Quad Core Xeon Processors and most importantly, 15K SAS hard drives.

On the contrary, I got a VPS from spamahost.com and paid $120 per month for it. That's right, same spec's and $120 per month! I thought, why not? It will likely be better than all of the rest since it is a premium price. Well, no. Even the connection wasn't that great, at least for me - I was not getting any where near 100mbps speeds and plus - it had a 200GB download limit....

Learn from my money guys, go with xsserver.eu and you'll be good to go. I Have had it for 3 days so far and downloaded about 300gb of data and no problems thus far!

Xsserver.eu support is suck.

My $35 plan VPS was down yesterday. Opened a High priority ticket, took them 13 hours to respond to it. Then the support staff can't see and enter my VPS password properly. They said I gave a wrong password. This caused further delay. Until I told them to take note which are the special characters in the password, then only they got it right. They really need or change their glasses.

Had the opposite experience with them. I installed a virus protection which locked out the RDP port. I logged a high priority ticket and within 30 minutes they had taken it out, rebooted the server and I was good to go.

No issues with xsserver.eu they have increased my potential to post even more which is a massive win. IMO if you are not running proxies + server for scrapebox you are missing out on massive opportunity.

I have opened few support tickets with them in the past and they responded within an hour but all were during the weekday. My previous bad experience was first time during the weekend. I guess they are short of manpower during the weekend and holidays.
 
Ive just got my VPS activated and set up with xsserver.eu...

So far all is going good, setting up SeNuke, Magic Submitter and ScrapeBox now...

Senuke didn't work first time round, it seems to be hanging on the loading screen...im busy running windows updates now, im hoping the .Net updates will solve this problem..

BTW: My experience with their support has been excellent so far, right after i purchased i chatted to the support on msn, and they were quick and efficient in answering my questions...guess ill see what they really like when i run into real problems!

PS: My speed test results got about 49 Mb/s down and about 9Mb/s up...so for me, and my requirements im pretty happy so far...ScrapeBox and Senuke are going to be new born monsters on this thing!

Thanks to all of you for this thread. I read it and learn a lot. I have an issue that I want to address. My internet connection cost me 89.99/monthly but I only get access to 425 mb a day. It's a real pain. I use hughes net and unfortunately it's the best I can get in my area.

So you can guess that I can only use scrabebox at 1-2% of its potential. My questions are:

1) I never use software like scrapebox and senuke on servers. How do I install them? How do I run them? Will I see them through the screen of my laptop at home like the cpanel of my hosting accounts?

2) Will they use the bandwidth of the servers they are installed instead of my own? Because this is my biggest trouble at this time.

3) My internet connection has a changing ip each time I connect and disconnect. Is this a problem?

Sorry guys, but I have a last question:

I use 10 proxies that I pay 25 bucks a month for. I use them with scrapebox regularly. How will I be able to use them in scrapebox when it is installed on the hosting server?

Same way you would on your local machine, just enter them in the proxies window.

You're on a VPS, you can't expect to get 100 mb/s because that line is shared among the full node with the other VPS servers. The point of these servers are stability and reliability. Spamahost will never shut you down because of complaints and will not require proxies as where other companies either do not allow allow it and will shut you down 1st reply, or require proxies. Most companies even terminate your VPS apon getting the spam complaint and when you realize all of a sudden your VPS has been terminated, there is no getting your files back. As for the bandwidth, there are many promotions to get even up to 1 terabyte for no extra cost on that same plan, just have to keep checking in!
