There is 2 main types of marketers out there when it comes to strategy. You have the "Bulls Eye" type, and you have the "all over the board" type. The "Bulls Eye" type will take a mythotical approach (only pitching to a few), and try to bag the elephant with every pitch they make, where as the "all over the board" approach focuses on the numbers (pitching to as many as possible, with a lower conversion rate than the "Bulls Eye" type).

I personally prefer the "all over the board" approach, because even though the conversion rate is much lower, it usually evens itself out. Plus, with the "Bulls Eye" approach, there is still no guarantee that every pitch will convert.

One thing at a time but all over the board in the end. I never settle for few.

All over the board...because thats my natural way of working.....take on big projects and be labour intensive.

I have learned over the years though that Laser targeting or Bulls eye is the winning approach. Last few sites I built to an exact plan and that will be my MO in future

Great question! I should ponder on this one today because I know I'll have a better answer... but I'm gonna give the first one that comes to mind.

In my case, neither. I suffer the "nurse complex" where I put all my focus into helping clients and I never really help myself.

Sure, I get new work from referrals and local credibility, but really... I should get off my butt and promote myself more. If I do- when I do- I think I'd go for the bulls eye. Easier to analyze which strategies have a higher ROI, right?

I guess I'm a mixture of both,I try a bunch of different things, but I get the highest conversion possible.

This is what I have done up until this point too. Automation lends itself to shit slinging rather than sniping.

However recently I've been putting a lot more manual effort into refining keyword lists and pouring all my efforts into a much smaller selection of (buyer) keywords. It's paying off surprisingly well. However I threw a lot of shit at the wall to find out what would be worthwhile to spend the effort on laser targeting.

If you still put in effort, you have not failed... Only been held back

I guess a bit of both. I focus on 1 method that works really well and then scale it up (numbers).
