There are several tools available that provide similar metrics to assess a website's domain authority. Some of the popular ones are:
1. Moz Link Explorer
2. Ahrefs
3. SEMrush
4. Majestic
5. SEO SpyGlass
6. Google Search Console
It's important to keep in mind that each tool has a unique proprietary algorithm and approach for calculating authority scores.
 
you can't go wrong with either SEMRUSH OR AHREF . Both very powerful tools and will give you all the information you need (and some :) ) about a website
 
If you're a new user, it's surely difficult to understand at first what's costing so much and whether you should pay this price or not, whether it's really worth it or not. However, trust our word, once you start using SEMrush, you'll know that it's worth every penny you're spending.
 
You're thinking about this wrongly. Currently the best indicator of authority is whether Google is ranking the site. As evidenced by the current domination of many SERPs by parasite domains, authority is currently king. If a domain is ranking for thousands of keywords in the top 10, you can assume there is some sort of authority there. It might not be quantifiable via a 1-100 scale like most SEO tool users are used to, but you can at least get a quick yes/no answer.
