Which tool has more accurate keyword search volume?

I was analyzing some low competition keywords on both tools, I realized that ahrefs usually shows way more volume (both global and us)

numbers are like
ahrefs / semrush
14k / 3.3k
13k / 4.5k
9.8k / 920
6.4k / 2.1k

sometimes it's backwards
3.2k / 9k

keyword difficulty is also very different on each tool. I found a keyword with keyword difficulty of 3 on ahrefs and it was 14 on semrush.
which one has more accurate data based on your experience?
Is there any methods to find out which one has more accurate data for that specific keyword?

No accurate tool over the years. All you need to do is to pick one and stick with it

Any tool that's pulling directly from Google for search numbers, but the difficulty scores were spoken about in a https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/in-semrush-what-is-a-realistic-kd-for-a-new-site-to-rank-for-in-6-months.1384808/post-15015318 earlier today OP.
 
Don't know about ahrefs but semrush is really inaccurate.
I tried to use semrush for my website and it looked like they just used random numbers for keyword volume; same for traffic, just random traffic numbers which were way off the real ones.
Can't believe people actually pay for semrush.
 
I can say Google Keyword Planner is a bit closer when compared to SEMRush and Ahrefs. They seem to be inaccurate.
 
There is no best in the market
Ahrefs is good for some instance and semrush won't be and vice versa
 
When compared to SEMRush, ahreff gives the accurate results according to my experience and my client's preference.
 
Unfortunately, it's quite impossible to find some tool that would be pretty accurate, as they are all often giving different results, and we can't tell which one is the right one. But, from my personal experience, I would say that Ahrefs gives better insights than SEMRush, you can't rely completely on that either, but it's more close definitely.

Each tool has owned own functions to calculate difficulty scores. So it will be different naturally.
To get more accurate data you have to analyze manually and use your own judgments.
