Which source is best value for anon proxy list?

Hi, all:

I know of websites that provide (even hourly) free anonymous proxy lists that one can copy and paste to use. However they go dead fast (obviously, because too many people are using them).

Are paid services significantly better in the anon proxy lists they provide?

I am sure even among paid services, some are better than others but which ones are best?

I was told forums are the best places to get good anon proxy lists, and tried two but did not notice much difference.

Any tips? suggestions? pointers? even hints?

Yes, that would be one of the possible uses.

I know some email clients use proxies, but I forgot the name(s).

Anyone knows of a good email client that uses anonymous proxies?

Not that I plan to do anything improper. It is just a matter of extra prudence and extra precaution.
