This video brings back some memories... Does anyone here actually remember the show 120 minutes on MTV? They used to air alternative & international and seldom-played music videos on that show. Yes, MTV used to actually play (gasp!) music videos. Now it's just all "reality" shows and celebrity gossip bullshit geared towards 15 year old girls. Unfortunately, that niche is incredibly profitable for MTV. You have to actually order MTV2 to watch music videos, and even then it's not all videos. IMO, MTV has sucked since about 1996, which coincidentally, was the year I graduated high school.

Easily the best electronica tune of the last few decades. Uploaded by Tom Ellard himself. (the composer and performer)

He writes.

The music for this 1993 version was essentially created by the DJ Robert Racic. This video was created using a number of hand coded MSDOS programs running on a 486, written by some clever local programmers including James McParlane (the text generator) and 'Zaph Torps' (the plasma and fire effects). The PC had a very expensive and nowadays very primitive display card that could create a PAL TV image - badly.

The clip was purposefully dirty, strobed and harsh. I wanted minimum colour. The TV stations obliged by 'failing to broadcast it' citing the strobing and sexual content. Nevertheless the single reached the national top 20. (Australia).
