He uses both "After Effects" and "Premiere Pro" as we can see close to 12:00 he quickly switching from one to another
After Effects is more focused on special effects, like Hollywood greenscreen movies
Premiere is more focused on simple edits, like cuts and transitions that we see on youtube every day
It's not unusual to use both on a project, as each one has its strengths and they work well together (Adobe suite)
