Sony Vegas is the best option to go with - but do not pirate it, it is worth the $250+.

Camtasia is very userfriendly I must say. Too bad it stopped working for me..

I recommend you to choose Sony Vegas. It is the best video editing software.I have used Sony Vegas. It's awesome software and It will give you amazing result.

Powerdirector is a cheap alternative. It is basic but works well on lower end pcs and for 95% of people it has evrything you need. It also renders faster than most.
I also use freemake Vidoe copy to rip vids off youtube. Fast and easy to use also free.

Sony Vegas Pro was my favorite. After effects for more complex videos.

Go with Adobe Premiere. It's what I've been using for a couple months to produce my videos, and it works wonders to my content quality.

It's very feature rich (pretty much the photoshop of video), but it does throw you a learning curve. If that's not intimidating, then it's the program for you!

Camtasia is better for amateur level. Sony Vegas is perfect if you have anough time to learn it.

I swear by Sony Vegas. I have been editing adult videos for almost 20 years, and it is great.
