Which snapshot to consider for archive while restoration?

Which snapshot should I consider for archiving during restoration? I have a domain name that I’m currently not using, but I don’t want to lose its SEO value. So, I’m planning to archive the content to preserve it. I’m confused about which archive URL to choose — should I select the snapshot from the year when the domain had a traffic spike, or the latest one? I don’t want to lose any articles or permalinks that could affect the domain’s value in the future. My plan is to park the domain for around 2–3 years.

For maximum value preservation, I'd go with the snapshot from the year with the traffic spike. That content was clearly performing well at the time. Make sure you get all articles and their original links from that period. It's the best bet for maintaining any associated domain authority.

I don't really get it. You are planning to drop the domain content for a while and restore it in 3 years? What's the point? You are going to literally kill that domain, it doesn't matter which snapshot you save.

Pick the snapshot from the site's peak traffic period that's when content and backlinks were strongest .Later snapshots usually miss pages or links ,which can hurt SEO Value.

to preserve seo, go with the snapshot that has the most complete content and original permalinks, even if it’s not from the peak traffic time. this keeps the domain’s value intact for the future.
