I use Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.

Google Analytics and Search Console are my preferred options for traffic and search queries. For backlink analysis Ahrefs and Semrush are useful for checking referring domains and comp profiles.

Honestly, relying on just one tool is a trap because their databases vary wildly. For my own sites, nothing beats Google Search Console for accurate traffic and indexing data—it's the only real source of truth.

For competitor analysis and backlinks, I use a hybrid approach. Ahrefs is still the gold standard for backlink profiling and finding toxic links, but the price is steep. For everyday checks or tighter budgets, I often use SE Ranking or Mangools, which offer about 80% of the functionality for a fraction of the cost.

For estimating competitor traffic, I cross-reference Semrush with the free SimilarWeb browser extension. SimilarWeb is surprisingly accurate for medium-to-large sites, while Semrush is better for spotting keyword-level traffic opportunities.

My recommendation: don't overspend on Ahrefs or Semrush right away unless you're running an agency. Start with a budget-friendly all-in-one like SE Ranking, and only upgrade when your projects actually demand the deeper data.

for traffic analysi nd clicks, I am using GSC nd GA4. for backlink nd competitor analysis, I usually use ahrefs but sometimes I go for semrush to see how the keyword data differs. I have been using more than one tool since the backlink database nd traffic estimations differ drastically between them.

Semrush, sometimes ubbersuggest. Does GSC count?

Well well well, Ahref is on the top of the list, 2nd one is semrush and 3rd is Moz for DA and it's KD metrics. for doing audit of website I prefer screming frog.

my main focus is on making use of GSC and GA4 to measure traffic, click nd the quality of pages. Speaking about my necessity for backlink analysis and competitor research, I usually rely on ahrefs, but at times I use semrush too becuz the results may vry significantly. I do not believe that one tool could give me everything.
