which proxies do I need for Scrapebox and Pinterest?

Hi,

I don't understand proxies (are these IPs or what even are these things?), but I have to buy proxies for Scrapebox, but also for a Pinterest automation software that I just purchased (Ninja Pinner).

And despite of the research that I've done over the last 3 hours my head is aching from all of the technical mumbo-jumbo that I don't get about OSI and layer 7 and SSL / TSL, and all of that crap, so I am still left as confused about which proxies I need as before...

And at this point I'm done trying to understand too, technology (and especially networking in particular) is not my strong point and period!

Can someone - without trying to teach me any more about this crap - please tell me which type of proxies I should buy to...

1) spam-scrape google (and other sites, too, but google mostly) with Scrapebox like crazy without getting my IP banned?

...and also which proxies I need to...

2) be able to run 5 business Pinterest accounts SIMULTANEOUSLY for 15-20 hours a day, EACH DAY, for 1 year straight, without getting banned?

Like seriously, I'm not joking, skip the teaching part and just tell me...

- do I buy HTTPS or SOCKS proxies?
- do I get private or shared proxies?
- do I get datacenter (what the fuck are even these??) or rotating proxies? Or residential proxies maybe? I don't even know the difference between these 3 types of proxies, and I have no patience, or capability of understanding the differences anyway, I have a terrible headache because of this jargon, so I only want to know which proxies to buy and move on...

I remember that 3-4 years ago when I used Scrapebox for the first time I bought 5 private proxies from MPP and they worked flawlessly, so all I know is that I need private proxies so I guess that the private vs shared questions had already been answered...

But what about the other 2 questions? I don't get what HTTPS and SOCKS is, and period! Please - if you are good with proxies, and with Scrapebox and Pinterest - please tell me without tying to teach me which types of proxies I should buy to be on my way with using these tools, that's all I need to know, I'm done trying to understand this crap that's left for engineers not for humanists like me...

Thanks in advance and hopefully someone who has a knack for this crap can just answer my questions without trying to teach me stuff I have no interest in.

Residential proxies and mobile proxies would work better for your use-case, but I am worried if the data consumption will be high depending on the stuff you will do with scrapebox. You can buy datacenter for SB if budget is not an issue, and residential/mobile for managing Pinterest accounts.

If you want me to explain a bit about these proxies, I'd be happy to explain this stuff in easy to understand language.

it is an issue! I can't spend more than $10 per month (or $100 per year) on proxies for BOTH softwares COMBINED!

That's why I was thinking of getting shared proxies this time, but in order to find quality shared ones (I noticed that the shared proxies are cheaper) I will need to know whether I need HTTP or SOCKS proxies, and datacenter or residential or rotating proxies. That's why I asked those 3 questions

nope! I'm done trying to understand these idiocies for the next 10 years, I just want to buy proxies and be done with it! It's not my job to know which proxies to buy, when I go to a seller and ask them "hey, which proxies work best for X or Y software" they should fucking know already, I shouldn't be the one doing the research for them and telling them which proxies work best for which cases like one of the sellers in the marketplace (who I won't name) asked me....

Anyway, I appreciate you trying to explain it but I can guarantee you that whatever you will tell me I will forget in a week tops! I am simply not cut out for this geeky stuff.

Shared proxies mean that they're shared with multiple users, and generally, are a recipe for a disaster. If one user gets flagged/suspended from a service, chances are, all the accounts on that proxy will get suspended. You don't know what other people are doing with those proxies. These are generally datacenter proxies.

Instead of shared, you can go with dedicated proxies. These will be a little bit expensive comparatively but will be exclusive to you.

Both residential and mobile proxies will be expensive and have a limit on the data usage.

HTTPS and SOCKS are different types but won't matter in your case. You can use any of these types. Also, many providers have support for these two protocols. So, you can export either in the HTTP format or the SOCKS format.

Residential proxies means that the IP address is from an ISP, like your local internet provider's IP. Mobile proxies means that the IP is from a 3G/4G/5G network. These seem natural and are not blocked by platforms like Reddit, but are expensive. Datacenter proxies means that the IP will be of servers in datacenters. For Pinterest, I think datacenter proxies might work fine.

I did not talk about any of this stuff in detail or the routing part to keep it simple.

Try with datacenter shared proxies first, dedicated preferred. If you think you are getting limited or suspended faster, try res./mobile proxies.

HTTP or SOCKS both will work fine for your use-case. So, go for HTTPS to keep your search simple.

P.S. - Does your bot specifically mention using SOCKS proxies?

too tired at the moment to make anything of your reply. You basically told me that all options are good, which is what I've read on other sites too.

At least now I know that it won't matter whether I choose HTTP or SOCKS, at least this part is clear... unless someone else comes here and argues against this, which I can totally see it happening LOL

that's what I thought too. But I read earlier that good proxy providers will share the proxy with people that do completely different things, precisely to prevent the shared proxies from getting nuked.

Like, for example, if I specify on the checkout page that I will buy the shared proxies for Scrapebox the provider will give me shared proxies that are used exclusively with Craiglist or Spotify (just an example, the sites could be different, but the point is the same) which I found very interesting and the main reason for which I chose to use shared proxies this time. It's just that I don't know which provider cares about their customers so much, and is transparent enough to explain to them that they're getting shared - but safe to use with Scrapebox - proxies. That's what I'd like to know...

Anyway, I'll go over your reply more carefully tomorrow because at the moment I can't add 1 with 1 together if you asked me, I'm too mentally drained to be able to think straight...

What I know is for Pinterest it’s better to use residential or mobile proxies since they’re safer. Most providers support both HTTPS and SOCKS anyway, but for Scrapebox and Pinterest people usually just run HTTPS.

I'm trying to get some proxies for scrapebox but like the poster I am also confused. I got $10 added at proxies.com only to be asked to input what server I was using. So I have $10

I did eventually manage to create the proxies in my Proxies.com account if that's what you're asking, but I have no idea whether or not they worked with Scrapebox... But I assumed that they didn't work so I stopped using them after 2 days. And the reason I assumed they didn't work is because...

1) they didn't pass SB's google test (although I might be wrong in this assumption because - from what I understood - proxies keep failing SB's google test all the time and still work, but for me they still seemed to not work because reason #2 below)

2) I could scrape yahoo and other sites with these proxies, but I couldn't scrape google (neither the keywords or the URLs). So I assumed that they didn't work.

These being said, I am still not saying that this seller's proxies don't work with SB simply because it could have been my fault (I may have selected a wrong setting or something, which is very possible given how much I suck at these things...)

But anyway, contact the seller and ask them for instructions, as that's how I did it too. Without his help I don't think I would have managed to create my test proxies since I've no idea what those settings / options are, so send him a DM and ask for instructions

But to be honest I don't want to answer anymore, I have wasted too much time trying to understand these things. From now on when I need proxies and I tell the seller "hey man! I need proxies for Scrapbeox or for Netflix or whatnot" I expect the seller to come to me and say "sure thing pal, here they are: the best and cheapest proxies for your case! Enjoy!" and actually deliver the absolute best and cheapest proxies for my needs, they shouldn't be asking me what type of proxies (HTTPs vs SOCKS, or datacenter vs residential) I want because I have no F***ing clue what these things are...

all 3 of my links rebrandly and they all load fine in firefox
2 links are to proxy sites, 1 link is to a bhw saales thread.

also you want 4g http usa/uk proxies , used with a low scrape
thread rate of 10 or less.
